Due to the flooding in Thailand, which affects all HDDs except Samsungs, these drives are soon going to be selling for $30+ dollars above MSRP...on existing stock! NewEgg is already gouging all of their drives, up to $199 (MSRP is $169) for the 3Tb external...and they have eliminated free shipping on HDDs as well. Get it here, get it NOW...do not even wait 5 minutes, because prices are going up by the minute. No, I am NOT kidding. If you are going to buy an internal or external HDD of any brand...BUY IT NOW, or you will be shocked as to what they will cost you VERY soon. The retailers know that they can command any price they want when there is a shortage...and, believe me, this problem will continue LONG into Q1 2012. So, if you want this...or any internal or external HDD...do it now. 7:13PM Central, 10/21/11. If you wait and you need one, you are going to pay and pay dearly. Every single geek publication on-line has made the same warning to my fellow nerds and me.
